- Background
Information Technology Center (IT Center in brief) is an organisation within the president office under a management of the president board, especially the vice president for academic affairs, based on the directions from the president
- Roles
The center reports to the president of the university regarding to information technology activities. Apply the decisions of the university leadership board by creating short-term and long-term development plans. It is the center in producing, collecting, accumulating and providing information, and providing IT services. The center is equivalent to other offices in the president office in collaborating with faculties, offices and other organisations.
- Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the departments in the university in developing, collecting, and managing information systems of the university
- Maintain hardware and sofware, develop applied programmes, manage network system, and disseminate the university information through the university’s website
- Provide consultations; disseminate knowledge on IT to faculties; support faculties, centers and other departments in the university to develop their own websites
- Provide teaching-learning, short-term and long-term training and IT services based on approvals from the president; and write handbooks and train staff and lecturers how to use programmes and database
- Manage hardware and software are bestandards which are being used in the university
- Define rules and regulations for managing information technology of the university
- Rights
- Propose development plans, budget plans for equipment maintenance, demand plans, recruitment plans and human resource development plans; and cooperate with teachers and specialists for experience exchange
- Manage database, the university’s and faculties’ websites; monitor and check for moving, adding and removing the univerity’s IT devices
- Support staff at the center to improve their knowledge, and capacity in managment and technical skills; and implement staff welfare policies;
- Provide teaching-learning, and short-term and long-traing services; conduct research, disseminate knowledge on information technology to those who are interested internally and externally
- Participate in meetings and making decisions regarding to the university’s issues, conduct research, provide technical services and perform other activities assigned by the university high management

– Technical and Standard System Management Division
– Information Technology and Development Division
– Administration and Training Division

The center is composed 15 positions:
– One director
– Two deputy directors
– Three division heads
– Three deputy division heads
– Six officers

- Educate staff within the center on politacal ideology, dispositions and rules of laws
- Direct and lead the staff working in the center in implementing the center’s activities based on the responsibilities and rights stated in articles 3 and 4
- Participate in university weekly/monthly meetings and jointly make decisions about university’s issues
- And perform other activities assigned by the university high management

- Support the director in directing and leading the staff working in the center in implementing the center’s activities based on the responsibilities and rights stated in articles 3 and 4
- Act on behalf of the director based on a consent from the director

- Create strategic plans, center annaul budget plans for fixing and maintaining IT hardwares and softwares
- Check, fix and maintain IT devices so that they function properly; monitor for moving IT equipment of the university and attend IT equipment purchase tender;
- Define utility standard, training standard, and exams through ICT standard, manage electronic documents, and facilitate ICT teaching and learning
- Search for funding to support and promote activities of the division
- And perform other activities assigned by the center management
